Should i report my coworkers speaking in spanish to one another?
I find it very awkward when i'm trying to do my job and having my supervisors (both hispanic) speak in hushed spanish when i am around. they both speak fluent english (i mean completely flawless with NO accent at all) but it seems when they get together or are near the same area with me in the vicinity they speak in spanish, i can understand when they need to translate or are with a customer that only speaks spanish but i feel really uncomfortable when they speak spanish in very hushed tones. it feels like when a couple of kids hold their hands up to one another's ears and whisper and point at a kid in a corner. it's not a good feeling, i know sign language but if i were in a position where a few other employees speak perfect english and knew sign language i would not sign while around customers or other employees who did not know sign language. to avoid them feeling uncomfortable. i was just wondering, should i report this to my manager? (it is against company rules to do what they are doing and one of them has been reported for it already) and should i also start writing down what i hear them say in spanish so i can find out exactly what they are saying and hopefully justify or put to rest my feelings of uncomfortably?
