How do I care for a Canadian Goose? Should I?

Geese live on my lake also, it's very tough but some will die. This year an Otter moved into the lake, and ate all the baby geese that hatched. I called the DNR and there is nothing they could do, after living here for years and watching the geese hatch then be eaten, I just shot the Otter. Some things live and some die, it's nature.
