Advice needed on selling a horse?

Ok I have a real dilemma here. I have been looking after a horse after he was tragically responsible for the death of a young family member. It was a terrible accident and the horse is in no way bad!, anyway it received alot of press attention at the time so I have been working away with him under the owners wishes. They have now said they want to him to be sold as they feel it is too hard to keep him. My question is, how on earth am I going to sell this horse!, he is a very distinctive horse and anyone who knows horses and is in the vicinity will know his story. I would have happily kept him on as the girl who owned him, would have wanted that but unfortunately it is not my decision, therefore the best I can do is try to ensure he goes to a good home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
