What are the thinking and behaviours of people who are suffering from schizophrenia like?

Well in your community if you ask around you will find meetings for family members of the mentally ILL. (MI) In these meetings descriptions are abundant and there are commonalities, but there are different affects of the disease that manifest in differing behaviors. So, there is Casey Anthony on trial. There is Jared Loughtner, who shot Mrs Giffords. There is the fellow who shot Pres Reagan. I have a family member. Frankly they are in and out of 2 universes, ours and then one they have imaginary people who speak to them. They are almost always paranoid, delusional and suspicious. they constantly worry people are against them or plotting against them. They can see things as black or white strictly. They often times especially females align themselves with strict males, who make them feel protected. The disease manifests many in their early 20s and requires medication. Many universities have special people in place to group and help their issues. My daughter graduated with the help of a bipolar group at her university, designed to help them cope thru their issues, like anxiety, impulsiveness, etc. She was bi-polar with schizophric affects.
