Is this right for my family to do or am I expecting too much?

We live on opposite sides of town and every time we get together for family gatherings my family expects to go to the Northwest side of town when I live on the Southwest part of town. Now what makes this interesting is that I have a disability and they RARELY pick me up if the city bus can't go in that vicinity. I have asked them to meet me half way or in the Southwest part of town but they never seem to compromise as a family...I always have to meet them where they want to meet
